About US

Excalibur members at the Sunnyvale Art Gallery.

Greetings, friends.

YOU can master the art of communication.

How many of you have been asked to make a presentation or discuss a topic in front of an audience? Have you ever found yourself in positions where people look to you for leadership?

In these roles, the greatest tool to weild is a mastery of communication. Knowing how to clearly convey messages, to listen actively, and to provide constructive support can open a world of opportunities for you.

At Excalibur Toastmasters, we have committed ourselves to create an environment where the individual can benefit from the support and opportunities provided by the group. Each individual is encouraged to challenge themselves and each other by truly evaluating their communication skills and through exercises like presenting prepared and impromptu speeches, learn how to hone their abilities.

Our main goal is to become better communicators, public speakers, and most importantly, leaders. To achieve that goal, Excalibur Toastmasters offers a mentoring program. We pair new members with those who are more experienced in order to facilitate development through personalized interaction. Members also are given ample opportunities to take on leadership roles such as conducting general meetings and delivering speech evaluations.

For those eager for a challenge, Excalibur Toastmasters partakes in club and area competitions – the winners move on to the district, division, regional, and international level competitions.

Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate, or an experienced communicator, Excalibur Toastmasters has opportunities for you. I ask you now: are you ready to be a master communicator?
